Pollock & Galbraith were actively involved in the historic UK wide “Pension Review” process. Instructions continue to be received however in litigation matters relating to the sales of financial products. Clients include the solicitors acting for claimants, financial advisers, and the representatives of PI insurers. Recent instructions have included cases involving post-review pension mis-selling, loss of guaranteed annuity rate options, endowment and with-profit losses and failed pension sharing problems.
In any matters involving corporate as opposed to individual pensions, Dr Pollock would be assisted by his colleague, Mr Allan Martin, a Scheme Actuary and Independent Trustee, or would refer matters to him directly.
In addition to the company’s core actuarial services, advice can also be given on purely statistical matters. Dr Pollock has a number of clients in the private and public sectors who he assists with regular or one-off statistical projects. Assistance is given with design and administration of surveys, data analysis and the presentation of data and results.
