Reports on Investment Conditions, Inflation & Discount Rates
Dr Pollock has a background in institutional investment management and extensive experience of reporting on the appropriate ‘discount rate’ for use in the valuation of future cash flows in personal injury, employment and family law matters.
In 2015 John was appointed by the Ministry of Justice to serve on an expert panel to provide advice to the Lord Chancellor on matters relating to the setting of the discount rate for personal injury cases in the UK.
He is also involved in cases in overseas jurisdictions. Consideration is given to risk free and non risk free investments, the likely level of inflation in heads of claim and the term structure, as required.
